Picking a Toy for your adult Dog

First of all since you don't know how well your dog will chew up a toy, you need to check the toys several time a week. Keep them in a basket or box so you are sure to check them all. Also don't leave your items laying around because a playful pet doesn't know the difference between your items and their toys. If your dog gets a hold on an item that has buttons, clips or other items that they can swallow, it could be very dangerous. Also don't leave them alone with items they can chew apart, like a tennis ball.
Following are some toys that the experts agree are good dog toys:
Kong Rubber flyer, a Frisbee that is not easily chewed apart and made for easy pickup by the dog. It is pretty flexible and easy for the dog to catch in the air.
There is a toy called the Extreme Kong. It is for adult dogs and is way to hard for puppy teeth.. It is marketed as he strongest rubber dog toy in the world. There is a puppy version. It is a throw and retrieve toy.
The Almost Indestructible Ball is so large the dog can't pick it up and chew it apart but can have fun running around and around with it.
Kong has another toy called the Kong Jump'N Jack for Dogs. Shaped like a large rubber Jack it is easy for them to grab and is a good toy for chewing.
Petstages Orka Jack with Rope Chew Toy. Not only will they enjoy chewing on it but it has a rope for throwing. A special treat are some small holes in the edges where you can stuff a small amount of doggie treat.
